Privacy & Cookies
What Dinks & Drinks collects when you register, where it goes, who can see it, and how long we keep it. Written from an audit of what this site actually does, not from a template.

The short version
If you register for an event we keep your name, email, and anything else you choose to tell us so we can run the event and follow up about future ones. We copy it into our CRM, Pipedrive. We keep it for three years. This site currently sets no cookies at all. You can ask us to delete you at any time by emailing bea.lopez@equals5.com.
What we collect
Only what you type into the registration form, plus anonymous page statistics.
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name | You register | To know who is coming, and to check you in on the night |
| Email address | You register, or join the notify list | To confirm your place and send event details |
| Phone, organization, job title | You register — all optional | Context for the evening; none of it is required |
| Skill level, notes | You register — optional | To match games sensibly |
| Page views | Any visit | Anonymous. Which page, which step, when — no name, address, IP or cookie |
We do not buy personal data, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not run advertising pixels on this site.
Where it goes
- Our database. Hosted on Cloudflare in the United States.
- Pipedrive, our CRM. Every registration and notify-list signup is copied there, and our sales team can see it. Pipedrive is a third-party company operating in the United States. This is worth being plain about: the copy exists so that we can contact you about Equals 5 events and services, not only to run the evening you signed up for.
- Cloudflare, who serve this website and record standard web-server logs including IP addresses, as every website host does.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else.
Who can see it
- Equals 5 staff — through our internal tools, which require an Equals 5 login.
- Other attendees — only if you opt in, only your name and organization, and only to people who attended the same event. Your email address, phone number and notes are never shown to other attendees. Opting in is a tick-box on the registration form and it is off unless you tick it.
- Anyone, on our event recap pages — these currently list attendee names and organizations for the August 2026 San Francisco event. No email addresses. If you would rather not appear, email us and we will remove you.
Photographs
We take photographs at events and publish some of them on this site. If you appear in one and would rather not, email bea.lopez@equals5.com and we will take it down. We do not tag or name people in photo captions unless they have asked us to.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. No cookies, no local storage, no session storage, no advertising or tracking tags. We checked, rather than assuming.
Our page statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless by design — it does not use cookies or device fingerprinting, and it cannot follow you to other websites.
Our typeface is served from this website rather than from Google Fonts, specifically so that visiting this page does not disclose your IP address to Google.
This will change when attendee sign-in launches. Signing in will set a single cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary — without it, signing in cannot work — and it is used for nothing else: no advertising, no analytics, no third parties. We will update this page in the same change that introduces it.
How long we keep it
- Registration details: three years from the event.
- Notify list: until you ask to come off it.
- Anonymous page statistics: kept indefinitely — they contain nothing that identifies you.
Deleting your data
Email bea.lopez@equals5.com and ask. We will remove your name from this website and take down any photograph of you that you point us to, and we will delete your record from our database and from Pipedrive.
You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we will honour those requests regardless of where you live.
